Picos de Europa and the Cantabrian mountain range give us endless mountain routes, crossing forests, rivers and climbing peaks of 2,600 m.
A sixteen day trek through the entire Cantabrian mountain range, 4 days of route through any of the three massifs of the Picos de Europa National Park or cross the Gorge of La Hermida .. these are some of the many options that we have the luck to offer the mountaineer who wants to live an unforgettable experience in northern Spain, knowing ancient shepherds’ paths, tasting artisan cheesesand natural cider and sleeping in mountain shelters under a blanket of one million stars.
Your guide, Andrés de la Torre, is a sports technician qualified by the Higher Sports Council and belongs to the National Association of Mountain Guides (AEGM partner 1.091). In 2004 he felt the call of the mountain when climbing Urriellu peak for the first time for the TV, he discovered that the higher the summit, the better the views on the horizon, leaving his work as a journalist years later to dedicate himself exclusively to this noble profession, not forgetting the innate curiosity to know and write about ancestral customs and local traditions that value the rural villages, that unfortunately are gradually being forgotten in the memory of our grandparents.
If in addition to soaking up the culture of the villages of northern Spain, you want to enjoy the best cuisine of Cantabric sea and mountains, do not hesitate to book your hiking route through Picos de Europa.
